Magic Earth Navigation & Maps App Reviews

Since I got this App I use it regularly. Its absolutely great. I have some minor suggestions though: - the delay announcement is a bit annoying. Delays are announced way to often and for to short delay - navigation with the Apple Watch isnt useful at all. Tried it on my bike and the direction announcement isnt very helpful. Also Magic Earth stops the WatchOS App and goes back the Phone navigation all the time. Hope you can fix this. Your App is great but fixing that would make it even better.

You should remove that "magnifier-cloud" icon from search bar, because its ugly and confusing, or just change it to simple magnifier icon like its in Spotlight. And I still hope to see some kind of simple widget, as soon as possible. Thanks!

I think that Magic Earth is still the best navigation app in the market. Ive made abut 30.000 km on two seasons on my motorbike using this app. Its absolutely the best. But Im afraid about future of this app :( Last changes gives a lot of useless options (by me of course) and applicatnion becomes more heavy and slowly. The simplicity and lightweight was the main strenght of this apps ! Please do not destroy this fantastic product by adding a lot new features and making this more heavy and slowly. Propositions of improvements: - MAP MODE should be always 2D and North Up oriented. Do you really know people who using map in 3D mode or not North up oriented ? :) If You think that is not good idea please add possibility of this orientation in settings menu for example: "Use always 2D and North Up in map mode". - COLOURED TRAFFIC LANES at the top of the screen. GREEN - Proper Lane, RED - Wrong Lane (like in Automapa). Greyed lanes are not enough visible. - BEEP as additional type of voice commands - just very loudly "beep" before meneuver. When Im using this navigation on motorbike, voice command are not recognizable but very loudly "beep" sound could be fantastic solution when I neeed make any maneuver. - Left and Right Bottom Corner Features (on navigation screen) could be moved to the options menu. Its no good idea too keep any buttons on map screen because its easy to touch it accidentally. Anyway thanks for this fantastic app and please do not kill this by making more heavy and slowly. Thanks also for positive changes like splitting maps on small parts and adding more "via" points.

Trying out this app I used my home address and that of my sister in Indiana. Showed a trip distance of 754 miles...Im in Idaho...You do the math. Plus it couldnt find a good, known address/street and doesnt even list the city that address/street is in, although it does have a map of the state in question...and its a good sized city in that state. Not sre Id trust this app to get me across the street, let alone cross country. Ill stick with my old standby and much better travel app. ... Waze out!!

This app will only locate an address that it wants to locate, not the address you feed it. I entered Turnersville, NJ and fought the app for 10 minutes while it rooted itself in Budapest. It is not friendly AT ALL.

App is almost perfect but would be nice to see some iOS 10 widgets for quicker and easier access. Hope widgets will be added soon! EDIT: Yeah, Force Touch is a nice little feature but I mean to access it as quick as possible. So, wake up my iPhone, swipe for widgets and for example tap on "Nearby Gas Stations" then unlock it and see all needed results. Because without it, I need to search my home screen for the Magic Earth app, and it happens all the time. In the car is difficult sometimes. So, widgets would be best for easier access. Anyway, thanks for quick reply!

This app is really great working and smooth. Im in Cambodia but this app still support turn by turn navigation and work just like I have a real assistant sit beside me always while I drive. I think magic earth team should think about making ur own device not just only safely lens. a device what easy to use, easy to stand on dash, not complicated and better way to sync between map on the phone and magic earth device. (History, location, Favorite saved). Hopefully, this app should might update more data what can make user easy to fine exactly location and rout to.

I have tried several free navigation apps and this one is so close to being perfect. There are two things missing and were worth loosing a star. One is the app doesnt announce the exit number and the second being junction view which is so helpful in an unfamiliar city. I would gladly pay for those two things if offered. Add those and this would be a 10 star app in my book. Map rendering is great, Integration with contacts is seamless. Im not sure what the PRO version adds which I believe is "perpetual" for 19.99. Developers might want to add the difference between those on the overview. My area has just completed adding new bridges and road work which were opened up about 3 months ago that arent on the maps. So Im unsure how often maps are updated.

I have tried and own just about every GPS app that exists and none of them compare to Magic Earth, even the expensive paid ones. The maps are powered by Open Street Maps so they are great, and just keep getting better, the more editors get involved. The offline performance is great and the terrain and satellite modes are really cool. The developer keeps updating and adding features and the Advanced Driver Assistance System is amazing!

No chance to use navigation because of constant NO GPS POSITION error when I press start. GPS is on and functional on my phone.
